Mystery Jar Raffle
Thank you so much for all of the fabulous jar donations!!! The last chance for students to buy tickets is Monday morning - $1 each. The winners will be drawn later on Monday.
The students are working on ideas to give the playground a make-over and add some new equipment.
While they are working on the plans we wanted to kick off some fundraising starting with a returnables/bottle drive.

Complete the rest of the registration form. (Including your email address will ensure you receive reminder emails about hot lunch order deadlines, and your child’s hot lunch order for the upcoming week)

Follow the instructions to add each child in your family who attends Valleycliffe School

Once your child(ren) are registered, click on “Orders”

Proceed to order hot lunch for your child(ren)

Milk and fruit coordinator
Hot lunch helper - be the hero with the pizza!
Fundraising - whether you are a fundraising leader, want to help run one or have new suggestions let us know.
Bottle Drive helper - help fundraise by collecting and dropping off returnables at the depot.
Manual labour - get fresh air and exercise in Outdoor Classroom & Indigenous Trail, we get together 1 - 2 times a year to clean up, plant and weed.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, June 7 at 6pm in the library.

Community Events
Squamish Youth Triathlon May 15
We are pleased to announce that the Squamish Youth Triathlon is returning in 2022. This year’s event is being held on Sunday, May 15th at Brennan Park Recreation Centre. We’re planning another fun event, with events for boys and girls in six different age groups (from 6 to 17), including individual and team categories. The Tiny Tri for the really young kids (5 and under) will again happen after the main event.

This year we are offering discounted entry fees for multiple children in a family. Enter code: FAMILY at checkout. Tiny tris are always $10. If you would like to participate but entry fee is a barrier, please contact us via our website.

I would like to inform you of our much-anticipated free Kindergarten Transitions workshop is coming up. This workshop can be done online in the comfort of your own home. We hope you can join us on May 10th at 10:00am or 6:30pm to join us and learn mew tools and strategies for sound planning during any transitions years!
Session Description:
The transition from preschool into school can be particularly challenging for parents and their children when extra supports are required: and extra care is needed to ensure a smooth process. This workshop is designed for both parents and professionals to learn new tools and strategies for sound planning during any transition years.
Learning Outcomes:
- Participants will learn four fundamentals to help have a smooth transition to Kindergarten
• Learn firsthand transferable skills through group activities
• Identify tools that can assist the transition to Kindergarten - Identify who on your family's existing support team can assist with

May birthdays:
We want to wish a happy birthday to all of our students born in May! To celebrate, each student gets to choose a birthday book on the last Friday of the month.
Criminal Record Check
Do you want to go on class field trips? Then you need to make sure you have a valid criminal record check at the office. Criminal Record Checks can take a few weeks to process, so don't wait until the last minute. Please contact the office at [email protected] to be sent the forms to complete your check.
- If your child is sick or won't be attending school, please contact the office at 604-892-9394 or email [email protected] to let us know
- Remember to send a water bottle with with your child as the water fountain is not turned on
- PLEASE do not park in the fire lanes
- Call the school from the front doors if you are needing to pick up your child or relay a message
- If you have not yet picked up your Rapid Antigen Tests and would like them, please contact the office
